The Barbecue Ministry is the brainchild of Daniel Rhodes. Having a deep love of camping and the memories of being a boyscout sitting around the campfire telling stories, it was a great way to relax and let the stress of the day melt in front of the fire. As he thought about how meaningful those experiences were, he realized that it was sometimes easier for people to talk about hard issues when they were more comfortable. What if you could create an atmosphere that would help people bond over a common need such as food. We all have to eat, right? We all have different experiences and thought processes, and even if we don’t agree about everything, we can learn from each other, and most importantly, seek God together. That is when the Barbecue Ministry became a reality.
